Hiyashiame is a popular drink in the Kansai region, Osaka and Kyoto. It is particularly popular in the summer because its spicy ginger flavor helps to overcome heat fatigue. Its name means "cool candy" and it is sold in cold drink dispensers or during summer festivals. This drink is also known as "ginger syrup".
The Japanese company Captain was founded in 1935. At the time, it only produced alcohol, but today it mainly produces syrups in a variety of flavours.
Made in Japan.
