Yuzu, the fruit of the yuzu tree, is a fairly sour citrus fruit from East Asia that is mainly consumed in Japan. Yuzu can be picked green for its peel or yellow for its juice and peel, and is used in all its forms in numerous preparations.

Umeshu, literally “plum wine,” is a Japanese alcohol made from neutral alcohol flavored by macerating ume plums.

This plum wine with yuzu is made from Nanko plums from Wakayama and Japanese yuzu, a prefecture known for its Japanese plums. It is recommended to drink it with ice cubes or soda.
